In a realm, the world light comes from a mythical tree called the Elder Tree. Located in the Garden Valley, the tree has been tainted by dark forces, threatening to plunge the kingdom into eternal night. You play as a hero who has gone to exterminate the profaners in order to purify the tree.

Elder Survivor is a vampire survivor-like (time survival game with minimalistic gameplay and roguelite elements) made by myself for the GBJam#10. You have to survive as long as possible while swarms of enemies are surrouding you. Gain experience and upgrade your character by getting new weapons.

Inputs :

  • keyboard arrows : character movements
  • escape : pause game
  • tab : display unlocked weapons

i have played easily 30+ vampire survivors clones (while making my own) and this is one of my favourites.

so simple, and so well executed. you have done a really great job here.

i have just played the heck out of it for way longer than i should have - i play most VS clones for 5 minutes at most, and this i played for 30 mins+

great work.

It is with a heavy heart that I write to tell you that this game has been disqualified from GBJam10 for using assets that were not made by you during the jam period. Congratulations on finishing a game, as this is always an achievement in itself, and we hope you enter again next year.

Honestly it feels harsh because it's not the case of everybody to have time for creating assets by hand AND coding the entire game but, that's normal i should have seen it on the rules of the jam. So i understand !

I agree, and I think next year we'll have some premade assets for people to use. I'll work on that thought for next time.
